Карликовий кролик найменший вид кроликів важить менше 05 кг та копає нори

The Pygmy Rabbit is the smallest rabbit species in North America, weighing less than 0.5 kg (1 lb) and measuring 23 to 30 cm (9 to 12 inches) long. Unlike other rabbits, it digs its own burrows, which offer protection from predators and harsh weather.

They thrive in the sagebrush-covered landscapes of the western United States, where sagebrush is both their shelter and primary food source.

Unlike pikas, which store food for winter, pygmy rabbits must forage daily, even in the snow. They are also surprisingly agile, sometimes climbing several feet into sagebrush to reach the best leaves.
