But don’t let the vampire grin fool you… these are the world’s only true graminivorous primates, meaning their diet is 90% grass. Yes, grass! No meat, no insects – just a lot of sitting, plucking, and chewing.
Geladas live on vertical cliff faces in Ethiopia’s highlands, sleeping on rock ledges to avoid leopards and hyenas and spending their days grazing like wild sheep with opposable thumbs.
