Змія скидає шкіру через процес екдизису

When snakes grow, the outer layer of their skin does not, so they outgrow it. Because of that, snakes periodically shed their skin through a process called ecdysis. Usually a few days before shedding, the eyes of a snake turn milky blue and the body color becomes dull. It is caused by a secretion of fluid between the old and new outer skin layers. To help in the shedding process, snakes often seek out rough surfaces, like rocks or wood, to help rub off the old outer layer of the skin. If the conditions are suitable, snakes typically shed their skin in one piece
