National geographic розповідає про марґая мініатюрного хижака з гнучкими кісточк

The margay is one of nature's most fascinating wild cats: a miniature arboreal predator living in the rainforests of Central and South America. Resembling a small leopard, it moves with the grace of a squirrel and can descend trees headfirst thanks to its flexible ankles that rotate 180 degrees. With its large eyes adapted for night vision and its soft, spotted coat, the margay retains an eternally kitten-like appearance. Unfortunately, its beauty has also made it vulnerable to the illegal pet and fur trade, leaving it more at risk in the wild.
