Meet the Babirusa, a unique and fascinating pig found on the Indonesian islands. Translating to "Deer Pig" from Malay, this creature has a surprising feature - aside from the usual pair of lower tusks, males also grow an upper pair.

But here's the twist - these upper tusks grow upwards, piercing through the skin and curving backwards, sometimes even digging into their forehead.

Despite this impressive hardware, the boars don't use their tusks for combat. So why the upgrade? Scientists believe it's for gender differentiation, but the jury's still out on this one. 🐗🤔
