Mosquitoes in arctic can kill young pups and transmit diseases

During the Arctic summer, massive swarms can overwhelm, weaken, and kill young pups, often forcing them to hide in dens for protection.

Additionally, mosquitoes can transmit fatal diseases, such as Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE), which has been documented killing wolf pups.
