The editorial board of nip tysk presents analysis of hostomel airfield

The editorial board of NIP "Tysk" presents: analysis of the battle for Hostomel airfield with its participant — a soldier of the National Guard of Ukraine "Omega" special unit.
This piece marks the beginning of a series of articles about the first days of the war with the participation of fighters from different units who fought on different fronts under the common title "The Only Easy Day Was Yesterday".

Initially, we wanted to focus exclusively on the battles for the airport, but during the writing it so happened that we went beyond the initial framework and took a broader view: from the discussion of the strategic plan of the Ukrainian defense operation, the analysis of common mistakes of the parties during the Kyiv campaign, the Vasylkiv airborne assault and up to the fate of Russian saboteurs detained at the beginning of the war.
