🏞 How to create photorealistic images with Midjourney V6
The new version of Midjourney generates incredibly photorealistic images as if taken with a camera or phone. How to achieve such realism?
⭐️ Key tips for making prompts
• Add the --v6 parameter at the end of the prompt to generate images using the latest version of Midjourney.
• Add the --style raw parameter, which produces more natural and realistic images.
• The --stylize parameter or --s allow you to control the aesthetic of the generated images. Lower --stylize values result in more realistic pictures; higher values create more artistic and abstract images. It ranges from --s 0 to --s 1000; default is 100;
• Avoid clichés such as 4k, 8k, photorealistic; it doesn't work.
📸 Specify your shooting method
• Shot on Canon R6 Mark II camera, 35 mm lens, or whichever one you prefer — professional photo with a deep field.
• Shot on iPhone 14, you can add the --ar 9:16 parameter at the end for a vertical phone photo.
• Old Kodak photo — for a more vintage look.
• Ilford film photo — for black and white images.
🌅 Work with lighting and contrast
• high key/low key — lighting levels;
• high/low contrast;
• natural light — ambient light;
• uplight — heartwarming climate;
• global illumination — light spreads, reflecting off objects and illuminating surfaces;
• backlit — light positioned behind the object.
🙂 For portrait creation
• Studio portrait;
• Describe facial features: skin color, wrinkles, nose and lip type, presence of gray hair, hair length.
🌐 Language: you can write a prompt in any language; the bot translates it to English.
