For example, in January, an employee of a multinational company in Hong Kong transferred $25 million to scammers after speaking with "colleagues" who turned out to be deepfakes. The victim was invited to an online video chat to negotiate a confidential business arrangement, allegedly by the company's financial director.

What to do: Request that deepfake recordings be deleted from hosting platforms, or contact the platform administrators to have the scammers' accounts banned.
