🤖 "Where the Robots Grow": AI’s First Feature Animated Film
British independent film company AiMation Studios has released the first-ever feature-length animated film made entirely with AI tools.
"Where the Robots Grow" is an 87-minute family-friendly animated film produced by a team of only nine people. The creators used AI tools like Adobe Firefly, Stable Diffusion, and custom-built models. Production costs only $8,000 per minute, which is quite inexpensive for a professionally animated feature. Real actors lent their voices to the robot characters.
👀 Plot
The action takes place in the distant future, after a global cataclysm when the Earth’s survivors send robots to explore a new planet called Oracle. The robots discover a pod carrying the last human baby there and must rethink their purpose.
The movie is available for free on YouTube. The creators want to attract attention to the project and show the possibilities of AI in animation. The studio is already working on 10 new animated films.
