On dating platforms, women turn to ChatGPT to uncover the truth about men's height claims. The AI estimates height based on proportions and surrounding objects by analyzing photos of potential matches. According to reports shared on X, all estimates were within 1 inch of their actual height.
📏 Testing the Claims
We conducted our own experiment. Using a single gym photo, ChatGPT provided this assessment:
"The average height of a gym locker door is about 6–6.5 feet. Based on the person's proportions relative to the doors and lockers in the background, their height is estimated to be between 5’9” and 6’1”."
After analyzing a couple more pictures, ChatGPT narrowed the range to 5’11”–6’1”. The actual height? 6’1”. Of course, the subject was being entirely truthful 😉

Studies suggest that nearly half of dating app users exaggerate their height. Experts attribute this to societal pressure and evolutionary psychology, where taller men are perceived as stronger and more attractive. "Men lie about their height as much as women lie about their age," notes dating coach Elsa Morek.
