🏴 Manchester City Players Will Wear AI-Designed Kits
Manchester City and Puma have launched an AI-designed kit contest for the 2026/27 season. Using the Puma AI Creator, developed by the "decentralized" studio Deep Objects, fans had the chance to create their unique kit designs.
The AI generator processed text prompts, offered four built-in design styles, and allowed trim colors, emblems, and collar shapes to be customized.
For the final selection, Puma and Manchester City experts, along with 1.6 million fan votes, picked the 10 most exciting designs ⤴️ The winning design will be unveiled in the summer of 2026 and will serve as the third (alternative) kit, used when the home and away kits clash with an opponent's colors.
Meanwhile, in Manchester City's match against Chelsea on January 25, Man City's goalkeeper Ederson Moraes became the first player in football history to wear an AI-designed kit. The design was created by Moraes, goalkeeper Stefan Ortega, and defender Rico Lewis.
