✴️ Midjourney Releases AI Video Generator

Midjourney has introduced V1: The company's first image-to-video AI model.

The V1 model brings a Midjourney-created image to life with one click—the AI will write the prompt itself. However, developers also allow users to upload their own images.

Main Features:

📎 Two modes: Low motion—for slow or static scenes; High motion—adds more dynamics to the frame but also allows more errors.

📎 Video length is up to 5 seconds, but it can be extended up to 4 times by starting generation from the last frame.

📎 The model creates 4 generations per attempt; video generation costs about 8 times more than image creation.

🪐 Midjourney aims to create AI models that simulate the world in real-time. The first step was image generation, and the second was video. Next, the company plans to move toward spatial 3D models and accelerate generation to the maximum level.

💰 The company doesn't raise venture capital and lives solely on its revenue. To cover costs, video creation is currently available only for paid subscribers. Midjourney says the cost of generations will decrease in the future.
