👾 Mirage: Free AI Filters for Real-Time Video
The startup Decart has launched a model called Mirage, which uses AI to stylize videos in real-time.
Mirage works with webcam streams or desktop broadcasts. The service offers a variety of pre-made styles, ranging from anime and comics to cyberpunk and zombie horror. Unlike static filters, Mirage allows users to refine the visuals using text prompts directly during recording. For instance, you can transform Minecraft gameplay into a hyper-realistic video ⤴️
The model generates video at 20 frames per second with a resolution of 768×432. While there is noticeable lag, it doesn't interfere with usability.
Currently, generated videos may contain artifacts, but the model includes a learning system that allows it to quickly correct mistakes. Decart is working on enabling 1080p and 4K video generation, as well as expanding editing tools.
