🚔 The Golden Age of AI and Space: Jeff Bezos Interview
Amazon and Blue Origin founder Jeff Bezos, whose net worth Forbes estimates at over $230 billion, gave an in-depth interview at Italian Tech Week. According to him, we are living through the golden age of artificial intelligence and space exploration.
🌕 AI. Bezos calls the current excitement around AI an "industrial bubble"—but not necessarily a bad one. Companies that received millions amid the AI hype may disappear, yet the infrastructure and technologies they create will remain, transforming society and business.
As an example, he cites the fiber-optic networks that survived the dot-com crash and the breakthrough drugs that emerged after the biotech investment boom of the 1990s.
🌕 The Future of Space. The Moon, Bezos says, is a "gift of the Universe"—an ideal base for further space exploration. It's only 3.5 days away from Earth, rockets can launch at any time, and its gravity is six times weaker than Earth's, making takeoff easier and cheaper. The Moon also contains water ice, a vital resource for future missions and life-support systems.
"In the coming decades, millions of people will live in space," Bezos believes. He adds that it will be a choice, not a necessity, as advanced robots will be capable of doing most of the work.
