💬 ChatGPT Atlas: OpenAI's AI-powered Browser
OpenAI has released its AI browser, Atlas, built around integrated ChatGPT. You can chat with the assistant from any page using the sidebar. It always stays aware of what's happening onscreen.
Additionally:
✅ Chat with the bot and use AI search right from the URL-bar.
✅ The browser has memory: you can request information even from closed tabs.
✅ The built-in Agent can work autonomously—filling out forms or placing orders in online stores.
🔍 Not a Breakthrough?
We've already saw this functions in other products. Still, OpenAI, as the leading AI-first company, is once again setting the rules. Smaller startups that managed to "bolt AI onto a browser" a few months back will now find it hard to keep users when Atlas offers a sleeker experience, straight from the source.
💡 Atlas marks the end of the "ordinary" browser era. Google, Microsoft, and even Firefox integrate AI into their apps. Now, it's harder not to use AI in the browser than to use it.
➡️ ChatGPT Atlas is available free—for macOS only, for now. A subscription unlocks agent mode.
Will you use Atlas?
🔥 — Absolutely!
❤️ — Maybe I'll give it a try…
😈 — Nope, don't want to be spied on
