🤖 Unitree H2—The Humanoid Robot With a Human Face

Chinese Unitree Robotics unveiled H2, a humanoid robot that stands 1.8 meters tall and weighs 70 kg. Unlike the company's earlier models, H2 features a more human-like appearance. The robot now has a face—a stylized mask with eyes, lips, and a nose. It can wear clothing, and its movements look smoother and more lifelike.

In the demo video, H2 dances like a ballerina, throws punches, and walks the runway alongside a human model. As usual, Unitree doesn't reveal whether the robot is moving autonomously or being remotely controlled.

⚙️ The robot supports both. Built-in algorithms handle basic motion and improve over time through operation. For more complex tasks, operators can use a VR headset; the robot mirrors their movements in real-time.

H2 has 31 degrees of freedom (joints). Each arm includes seven: shoulder lifts and rotates, elbow bends, wrist turns. The legs have six joints each, the torso has three axes of rotation, and the head has two.

💰 It's not on sale yet, but the expected price is around $90,000—the same as its predecessor, the H1.
