🤖 Over 70% of Teenagers in the US Already Have AI Companions, Studies Find

This year alone, more than 120 AI companion apps came out, and they have been downloaded over 220 million times globally.

More than half of the users are Gen Z and millennials. According to surveys, more than 70% of teenagers aged 13-17 in the US have tried AI companions, and one in three likes communicating with them more than with real friends. 70% of users say that AI companions help them cope with loneliness.

The most popular apps:

➡️ Replika AI. One of the first services for creating AI companions with memory and empathy, boasting approximately 35 million users, with 40% of them being in romantic relationships with their companions. The app offers video calls and VR/AR experiences.

➡️ Nomi and Kindroid. Both services offer AI companions with customizable personalities and appearances. You can communicate with them by voice, exchange photos and links, and call them. You can also generate multiple companions and create group chats with them. No censorship.
