The Great Gray Owl and her owlets. 🦉

The Strix nebulosa, commonly known as the Great Gray Owl, is a remarkably sizable species of owl that holds the title for the world’s largest owl by length. Its range spans across the Northern Hemisphere, and it is the sole species belonging to the Strix genus that is found in both the Eastern and Western Hemispheres. The great gray owl goes by various names in different regions, such as Phantom of the North, cinereous owl (also used for S. sartorii), spectral owl, Lapland owl, spruce owl, bearded owl, and sooty owl.
