Male tigers leave the female after mating

After mating, male tigers typically leave the female and will not participate in raising their cubs. This leaves the tigress with the difficult task of balancing hunting with nurturing her cubs.

One of the reasons for this is that tigers are generally solitary animals, with males and females only coming together for mating purposes. After mating, the male will leave the female, while the female searches for a secluded area to give birth to the cubs. 🐅
