Young alligators develop hunting skills from an early age

Facilitated foraging is a foraging strategy where animals benefit from the actions of other animals. For young alligators, this refers to the large amount of prey available to them, which gives them a greater opportunity to develop their hunting skills from an early age. These alligators are able to successfully hunt frogs, insects, snails, spiders, and even small fish, thanks to the large number of these animals in their areas. Using the skills they develop through hunting these smaller species, they can grow and eventually tackle larger prey such as turtles, snakes, and skall mammals.🐊
