How do thresher sharks hunt in near darkness? 👀

Their huge, light-sensitive eyes are perfectly adapted to the deep ocean, where sunlight barely reaches. A reflective tapetum lucidum layer (similar to what cats have) amplifies faint light, sharpening their vision in the blue twilight.

These oversized eyes collect more light and detect movement with precision, helping threshers spot and track fast-moving prey.
