Finance Minister Lawrence Wong, who is also deputy chairman of MAS, said a framework on sharing liability for scam losses is being worked on by MAS now, and is expected to be published for public consultation in the coming 3 months.
Banks should also step up their ability to immediately block suspicious transactions and reach out to their customers to verify their authenticity, he added.
