Stalkers now use to generate fake job interview invitations or court summonses, tricking victims into showing up at places where the stalker is waiting for them.​

The UK charity Refuge, which supports women in crises, reports a record number of cases involving violence and control enabled by technology. From January to September 2025, referrals of this kind rose by 62% year on year.

🔍 Stalkers also track victims, often without their knowledge, via smartwatches, fitness bands, and even Oura smart rings. Abusers are weaponising smart‑home devices to exert total control over women's domestic lives.​

What happens if a stalker gains access to a woman's "smart" insulin pump when she has diabetes? This could be life‑threatening.
